Yes – there are different types of scars. For example a raised scar is called a hypertrophic scar and scars related to acne, of course, are called acne scars. Most scars are labeled by what actuall caused them such asĀ  c section scar and even a plastic surgery scar. But the real question is – what works best with each scar type. Does each scar types need a different treatment. Do creams work better or surgery or lasers?

Many people are started with cream such as microderm abrasion cream and also an off the counter scar cream such as mederma scar cream but how effective are these for keloid scars? These scars continue to grow long after the initial scar causing event. It does not occur with every scarring event but those get keloids scars get very frustrated because they cannot get rid of these. Even surgery can’t keep these scars growing back in many people. Therefore we can gaurantee you off the counter scars creams that may work for plastic surgery scars will not hold a candle to what it takes to help wtih keloid scars. The most effective ingredient against keloid scars is snail extract or the technial name is helix aspersa extract. This extract does a really good job with keloid scars and in many people will completely eliminate the scars after a period of about 2 months. It is really good at preventing keloid scars at the very sign of the scar starting to grow.
